I haven't tried the lvl 80-boost gear with legendary runes/sigils so I can't offer a definite answer here (Legendary stuff is *supposed* to be removable for free).
If leveling were difficult, then I would say just boost. Also, Guild Wars 2 encourages you to make alts and many of them. Most high end gear is account bound, so you're not redoing anything by making new characters. I would use your first character to play through the game and learn the ropes. Ultimately, go with what is the most fun for you.
Elementalists are a pro player's choice. Lowest health of all classes, very unforgiving of mistakes. Until you master the class, you will die a lot. Also, one of the most complicated classes, with 20 weapon skills available at one time (5 per attunement). Try it out in Sliverwastes for a few hours minimum.

3 options. Doesn't matter. Getting the mounts isn't any easier or harder with the right build. Necromancer, as the lvl 80 boost gear is a decent condition damage set, as opposed to getting soldiers gear on the other classes which is lackluster outside of wvw. Mesmer, as leveling a mesmer sucks. ChmSteki.
1 Posted November 28, 2020 Hey guys, I'm new in GW2. And I used the boost item to get lvl 80, soo I tried to start the Heart of Thorns or Path of Fire journey, but I'm dying to much and having a low dps. Is there anything I should do before start quest's? Regards =) Linken.6345 Members 13.9k Posted November 28, 2020 As someone said previously, you might get overwhelmed with the amount of skills, and builds. Take your time and develop your own playstyle. You can always start a new character and use the insta level 80 on it. One thing you can do is create characters and use the L80 Boost to try them out in The Silverwastes. Likewise with food (game calls it "nourishment"). Some of the really low level things only give +5%, but most give +10%. Again, while just levelling you can use whatever the cheapest ones are from the TP. The food you can get changes every five levels or so, so I'd just suggest getting a small number at a time. Boosting a character to 80 and obtaining a mount will forever damn you prevent you from experiencing a large Tyria. Mounts are useful for getting from place to place, but most importantly, they're used by veteran players to skip content. As another user commented in the thread, Tyria feels small when you're on a mount.
The HP you get from using the boost comes just from regular leveling up, so that's not part of the boost but more part of being lvl 80. So your total HP should be totally unaffected if you use it on a lvl 80 character.
Posted February 7, 2020. The community generally advises against boosting, but since you struggle to stick with the game, I'd go ahead with it. My only concern is how valuable the lvl 80 boost is, if you can make do with for example tomes of knowledge, I'd use them instead.
yes get pof if you like the game but do not skip to level 80 you will be lost in the end game. TheeRighteous • 3 yr. ago. Yes, you get full gear and a build. You can then play the game from the start since your level is adjusted. You learn quicker because you have the proper build. Durruk • 3 yr. ago.
I have a level 80 Engineer, but I wanted to do something else. Ive been using the trial for the boost to mess around with classes and I enjoyed Revenant the most, as I was looking for a death knightish class, and I know the reaper exists but Rev just seems cooler, animations and playstyle-wise, and Im not a fan of scourge/harbringer, Renegade
So I make a new character, and I immediately try to use my level 80 boost. Nothing happens. I got a pack of dyes and some 15 slot bags but my character is not level 80 and I didn't get the box of gear I thought I was supposed to get. Apparently I should have been teleported to the Silverwastes as well, but that also didn't happen.
Exp from kills won't be very high as mobs that have recently spawned give less exp and mobs in story instances give no exp. Fastest exp will be from doing story instances, hearts, and events but if you're doing events with a lot of players then there will likely be a lot of mobs for your mob kill exp bonuses. 1. Murdyr.
Mesmer is a chore to level because its so squishy without the defensive mechanics afforded by its Elite Specs, plus you don’t really get the satisfaction of good clone combat because most enemies die before you can summon enough. It’s just not a great feeling. 14. asmallbeaver.
Don't worry though! Hitting level 80 is a relatively quick process. Leveling up in GW2 is more of an extended learning process, the 'real' game starts at the level cap. Getting lvl 80 gear isn't very hard either. I'd say pick up the expacs, enjoy the core story and leveling proces and use it to get a feel for the game, then jump into the jungle.
Edelweiss.4261. Danikat.8537. Dashiva.6149. Biff.5312. Biff.5312. Enox.5870. I wouldn't say learn the class from leveling doing maps in PvE. Some classes you can but a lot of classes you aren't gong to be very efficient because completing maps in PvE is easy even if you jusr randomly press buttons.
Using the level 80 boost gives you a set of exotic gear, yes, but it will be bound to the character you used the boost on. On the other hand, you can use it on a character that has already reached max level, like your thief. If you don't want to use the boost as a way to bypass levelling another character, this might be the easiest way for you
Or should I use the boost so I have level 80 gear, then what should be my immediate course of action? I will mainly be playing pvp. So if I do use 80 boost how would I essentially get better gear for it easily? The only expo I have is PoF as well. I plan on getting HoT soon. I'm really torn on what to do and how to proceed if I do use level 80 AUXb8iw.
